چکیده

Aim. Analysis of physiological and biochemical characteristics genetically modified wheat with partially suppressed activity the proline dehydrogenase gene. Methods. Determination (PDH) activity, free L-proline (Pro); carbohydrate content (sucrose fructose). Results. It was established that under conditions water deficit in plants integrated elements forming double-stranded RNA suppressor pdh gene, there is a partial inhibition enzyme an increase proline. Changes metabolism stress first hours after rehydration were noted, while sucrose / fructose ratio control significantly decreases during dehydration normalizes when supply restored, this indicator almost does not change short-term stress. Conclusions. Partial suppression gene leads to content, fluctuations which contribute maintenance balance.

Effect of yellow rust disease on agronomic and physiological characteristics of winter and facultative bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars

To investigate the effect of yellow rust disease on some agronomic and physiological characteristics of bread wheat cultivars, two field experiments were conducted in Agricultural Research Station of Miandoab in West Azerbaijan, Iran, in 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 cropping seasons. Experimental treatments were arranged as factorial in randomized complete block design with three replications. Treat...

Cadmium pollution enhanced ozone damage to winter wheat: biochemical and physiological evidences.

Combined effects of ozone (03) and cadmium (Cd) on growth and physiology of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L. cv. JM22) were determined. Wheat plants were grown without or with Cd and exposed to charcoal-filtered air (< 10 ppb O3) or elevated O3 (80 +/- 5 ppb, 7 hr/day) for 20 days. Results showed that 03 considerably depressed light saturated net photosynthetic rate (-20%), stomatal conductan...

Effect of exogenous application of ascorbic acid on physiological and biochemical characteristics of wheat under water stress

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is widely cultivated in the Mediterranean zone where plantsgenerally suffer from water stress during heading and reproductive stages. This research wascarried out at the experimental farm of the faculty of agriculture, Kafrelsheikh University usingtwo water treatments (water stress and well-watered), four N levels (0, 80, 160 and 240 kg ha-1)and two ascorbic acid le...
